Early Childhood Education
Give early learners the foundation they need to succeed throughout their education experience. At Indiana Wesleyan University, our Early Childhood Education programs position you to support the youngest learners in their growth through the development of effective learning experiences in diverse settings, including childcare, school, home, and other education environments. Whether you are entering the early education field, or advancing your impact on early learning, IWU offers certificate and degree paths that prepare you to serve at all levels of early childhood education.
Education Leadership
Those who lead the way in education are pivotal for learners in their educational outlook. At Indiana Wesleyan University, our education leadership degree programs prepare educators to make a high-level impact on learning within administration and other aspects of leadership. IWU offers three Ed.S. degree tracks, along with two doctorate-level tracks in education leadership.
Elementary Education
The elementary education experience is a critical building block for higher education learning, and those with a passion for teaching at this level can be a part of determining long-term success for learners. Indiana Wesleyan University builds on that passion through certificate and degree programs that foster an approach to teaching that effectively serves diverse learners in a number of elementary education settings.
School Administration
Those who lead the organizational mission of schools play a vital role in shaping the educational future for learners. Through our school administration degree paths, Indiana Wesleyan University prepares those who aspire to school leadership for effective oversight in school settings, cultivating essential leadership, communication, and administrative skills necessary for guiding diverse learner communities to success in their educational growth.
Secondary Education
Secondary education teachers build on the foundational education of elementary learning, offering a critical bridge to post-secondary education success. Indiana Wesleyan University prepares those who aspire to teach at the middle and high-school levels through degrees in a number of specialties and subject areas that reflect the best practices of today’s education landscape in curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
Special Education
Special education teachers are called to support diverse needs and challenges within learning. At Indiana Wesleyan University, you can enhance your current teaching path or pursue a new teaching path in special education through special education programs at the certificate and master’s degree levels. Two of our certificate programs offer the opportunity to gain teaching licensure in Indiana or Ohio.
Transition to Teaching
For those who aspire to impact the future for learners through teaching, Indiana Wesleyan University’s Transition to Teaching graduate-level certificates can bridge bachelor’s-level education with opportunities to teach throughout K-12 school settings. Take advantage of fully online coursework blended with real-world field experiences.
