Those called to service at the secondary stage of education have the opportunity to build on and strengthen foundational learning at the elementary level. Indiana Wesleyan University offers three program paths to prepare teachers to support middle and high-school learning through a certificate, bachelor’s, or master’s track in secondary education. Teachers are equipped to master the essential aspects of instructional delivery and curriculum development within a secondary classroom setting, as well as accommodate the needs of diverse learner audiences.
Certificates
Inspire learners in middle and high school through your teaching. Learn how to engage secondary-level classrooms as an audience and as individual learners with diverse needs in instruction, curriculum, and learning style. Prepare to serve learners at the secondary education stage in a number of school settings through course studies in:

Bachelor's Programs
Pursue your calling through your education. Develop your approach to teaching in secondary-level classrooms while you earn your BS in Integrative Studies. Prepare to serve in a number of secondary school settings through course studies in:
- Classroom management
- Adolescent development
- Personal career growth management
Master's Programs
Shape learning for secondary education audiences. Develop skills in effective instructional delivery, classroom management, and curriculum development and implementation. Prepare to serve diverse learners in a number of secondary-level school settings through course studies in:
- Integration of technology in learning
- Research methods
- Special education populations
